A team member will reach out to you to set up a time to chat and learn more about your situation. If the team member can help you in the moment, they will. If they need to further research support services, they will follow-up as soon as possible.
No, this is a voluntary service and this information would not be included in your academic/clinical record.
When you first contact the team, you can let us know how you prefer to connect with a mentor. (by email, phone, or you may prefer we send you resources directly, etc.). Unfortunately, we will not have SST members available 24/7, but we will do our best to find a time that works with your schedule and ours as well.
No, information will remain confidential on a need to know basis and will only be shared when there is a threat of danger to one's self or others.
If you are not satisfied with your meeting with one of our SST members, we will provide other options on a case by case basis.
We will do everything we can to accommodate this request.
Your program director, faculty, or KPSAHS staff may refer you to the SST and we will reach out letting you know we are available to help. You have the right to opt out.
Yes, if you are concerned for a classmate, you can let the SST know and we will reach out to the student directly.

No, we have no authority to offer legal advice, but will act as a support service to connect you to resources available to you.
Yes, you can contact any one of our members and ask for a meeting.
A faculty member may refer you to the SST if they believe it might be beneficial to your success. The process is similar to a self-referral. You will receive an email letting you know you’ve been referred to the team. You have the right to decline the meeting, but please let us know if you are choosing to do so. If you would like to meet with someone, a team member will reach out to you to set up a time to chat and learn more about your situation.
