Yi Du, PhD (she/her)

 
Dr. Yi Du is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, supervision, and counselor training. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University and has worked in diverse clinical and academic settings, including university counseling centers, integrated healthcare, community mental health, and private practice. She joined the KPSAHS MSC program as an adjunct faculty member in the summer of 2025.

Dr. Du specializes in working with young adults, parents, and immigrants, with particular clinical interests in relational healing, attachment, complex trauma, and identity development. She is passionate about culturally responsive care and integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed, and emotion-focused approaches into her clinical work. As a supervisor and educator, she prioritizes curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking in the learning process.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Du has served as a consultant and evaluator for organizations in the areas of talent assessment and leadership development, and she also provides psychological assessments for ADHD and learning disorders. She is the co-author of The Arts and Science of Helping and is committed to supporting counselors in their early development as they cultivate their voice, strengthen their helping skills, and grow their clinical confidence.
