Chan Park, M.D.

I was born in South Korea and immigrated to Michigan when I was eight years old. I developed an interest in math and sciences in high school and went on to major in cellular and molecular biology at the University of Michigan. After graduating with honors, I spent four more years at the University of Michigan Medical School to earn my medical degree.

I completed a year of internship in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Afterwards, I moved out to California for my residency training in diagnostic radiology at the U.C. Davis Medical Center. After finishing four years of residency and passing several written and oral examinations, I became certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2004. I enjoy practicing radiology because it allows me to use all the knowledge I have acquired from my studies in math, sciences and medicine. Furthermore, radiology challenges me to continue my education as it evolves with new technology. As a radiologist, I serve as a consultant to all medical specialties including family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology.
