Shelly Nielsen-Jones, PsyD, Clinical Director/BH III Mental Health & Wellness Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa
Dr. Shelly Nielsen-Jones, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and Clinical Director of Behavioral Health at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center. As Clinical Director, Dr. Nielsen-Jones has oversight for all behavioral health clinical services including Addiction Medicine, Child and Family Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, Behavioral Medicine Specialists as well as the Mental health consultation team in the Emergency Department.
During her leadership tenure, Dr. Nielsen-Jones has led care experience and service improvements in areas such as Adolescent depression and high acuity Intensive Outpatient programs, psychological testing for children and adolescents, and assessment of childhood ADHD. Dr. Nielsen-Jones has also partnered with the Pediatrics Department leadership and the Parent Advisory Council to incorporate vital feedback into mental health program development. In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Nielsen-Jones has been a faculty member and supervisor in the Santa Rosa Post-Doctoral residency program since 2012 helping to support and develop the clinical expertise and professional development of post-doctoral residents.
Dr. Nielsen-Jones lives with her husband and stepson in Sonoma county and enjoys gardening and cooking and when safe to do, traveling.
